Dr. Jennifer Arnold Levy

Jennifer is a senior learning and development consultant and facilitator, transfer of learning specialist and a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation with more than 1000 hours providing executive coaching globally to leaders across all levels of management.

For more than 20 years she has been involved in the design and delivery of leadership development and personal effectiveness programs that specialise in developing the communication and self-management capabilities that are needed for successful leadership, organisational and personal well-being and engagement both with her own direct clients and on behalf of organisations such as the Australian Institute of Management, The Australian Medical Association and several universities providing ongoing services to their corporate clients. 

Her facilitation and coaching services have supported leaders across diverse industries including retail, IT, telecommunications, automotive, real estate, health, education, manufacturing, local government, engineering, construction, the SME sector and others.

She currently facilitates within the Graduate Certificate of Organisational Coaching and Graduate Certificate of Applied Business at Swinburne University assisting leaders develop the coaching skills needed for conducting quality conversations that underpin team effectiveness and has been a key collaborator with health professional bodies in developing the coaching skills of members for effective leadership and client management.

Her approach is informed by a 30+ year background in neuroscience incorporating knowledge of the relationship between brain function, cognitive performance and behaviour and the known link between worker health and well-being and business profitability, communication effectiveness, emotional intelligence and employee engagement.

In addition to a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), she holds a Masters of Applied Science and Doctoral qualifications in the areas of psycholinguistics and cognitive neuropsychology obtained through the Psychology Department at Monash University. She holds additional qualifications in Training and Assessment as well as Business and Personal Coaching and is an approved trainer with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.

Her work is inspired by her background as a health practitioner and subsequent 10-year career as a researcher and academic within the Faculty of Health Sciences at La Trobe University and draws on health promotion principles and practices to drive well-being in the workplace. This has been further enhanced through additional studies in appreciative inquiry and positive psychology through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completion of a train the trainer program for delivery of the evidence-based workplace well-being program, ACT in the Workplace.

She also holds accreditations in the use of the Genos Emotional Intelligence assessment and The Strengths Profile that she uses both within her training and coaching work to compliment her ability to assist individuals in developing their emotional intelligence and engagement at work through a strengths lens that has been shown to underpin resilience and thriving.

As a qualified meditation teacher, she has spearheaded the design and delivery of mindfulness training programs to foster emotional agility and flexibility for corporate clients serviced through the Swinburne University of Technology as well as designing positive leadership training programs to assist leaders in harnessing the PERMA model of well-being for creating organisational climates where workers can thrive and flourish. This has been her key driver for her work since the late 1990s when she left academia to apply her knowledge and skills ‘on the ground’.

She is really excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the work of Mindful Life Training and join with others in the team to support organisations in creating workplace cultures where all can prosper and be well.
