Course Description

This course outlines the scientific underpinnings of how breathing relates to physical and mental health, wellbeing and performance that integrates a life/work balance and function.

Tim will outline how dysfunctional breathing can cause all types of health/performance problems. and identify new ways to retraining your breathing that can help  manage and prevent both short term, or acute stress, and long term or chronic stress.

This course builds on the fundamentals of breathing and extends it to aspects of peak performance at work and in physical training. The science of breathing is discussed and how incorrect breathing impacts our health, vitality, mental clarity and performance. Practice includes simple and  easy to learn practical exercises to get the most from our breathing (and our body and mind), plus some tips for creating a long term practice and benefit from this training.

This understanding of breathing, and our nervous system can also be used with more advanced techniques to explore greater levels of performance at work, and potentially unlock our ultimate potential via ‘Flow’ or ‘Alpha Zone’ states.

Session 3: Breathing for performance - Including practical techniques to improve corporate performance: relaxation, focus, memory, energy levels, mood regulation, stress management, better Immunity and sleep.

Session 4: Understanding our ultimate potential via zone or flow states and how to Induce these via breath training.
